First of all. I'm trying to help. I'm sensing a little hostility here but i'll try to just be objective and tell you why I think this is not doing much.
"Sk have some diseased based Spells so a Disease Focus is on the weapon." That would be the spear line...?? ie Spear of Decay. That's a DD spell. Just so you guys have the info since thats something you request on posts like this. I don't know of any other spells that are disease based and this is the information that was conveyed to me by our SK although it's very likely that there are more as I have said before I do not play the sk on EMU.

Um "- I think making a straight lifetap on the don would be more logical, as I assume adding a self proc would have issues with the existing line of self life tap proc buffs sk's get." Although this is just my opinion not what I "expect" as I don't even play the class and I'm simply trying to give a heads up.

Spell: Dark Drain. Decrease Hit points by 1000 per tick, with a stun. If one were to focus this by 80% "True Thunder"... that would make this an 1800 per tick heal / damage / whatever the idea here is. That's good dps for a tank class in a small time frame. Although nothing compared to our dps classes (if that was the intention to be dps) and certainly not enough to make much of a diference on the mobs with millions of HP that we raid.
- Downside
Spell: Dark Drain. Does not remain on the caster if the mob dies. This means that your damage may at most at any given time (Minus crits) could be 18000 damage. IF the mob lives the full 1 minute. Basically raid mobs only.
Spell: Dark Drain. Has a -200 magic check. Now on this im not 100% positive, but will this ever be resisted? 200 seems like a good # but if it is resisted once... that means you can't even try for 10 minutes to get that 18000 dmg boost.

Id love to, It's called Bond of Inruku. (135 per tick for 5 ticks in 30seconds unfocused).
Now... were gonna get into a little math here so bare with me!
BoInruku hits for 135 (unfocused, 243 Focused with 80%) 5 times, every 30 seconds.
Within a ten minute period you can cast this spell 20 times. 60 x 10 = 600 divided by 30 = 20. The resist check is the same for this spell as for the donater so I can only imagine it would be resisted just as often and only make this spell the more powerful of the two as a resist for a 10 min recast would far outweigh one or two resists on the 135 dmg.
So.. 135 x 5 = 675. 675 x 2 (1 minute) = 1350. 1350 x 10 (Recast time of donater) = 13500. Unfocused. Donater = 10000 damage per 10 minutes (Unfocused) if the mob lives the entire 1 minute.
So yes, there is a spell that comes close to that, and in fact surpasses it. I understand that it can be used in combination. I never posted anything about making it have no recast time, or do more damage. I simply suggested... well you already know, I posted it twice. (And it's just a suggestion!! Not a demand, I don't even play the class for christ's sake!!!)
In conclusion. I am in no way shape or form trying to have every donater changed on a "weekly basis" and if that is directed to me specifically I resent it. I am simply trying to provide YOU with information to help level the playing field of all classes on this server. If you do not wish for me to post information on donater items because ... whatever reason... then please say so. Often times I may post a few times on the same item to make changes... this is because of certain things that I perhaps do not notice right away or combination errors with items I did not have at the time of getting or spells that I didn't cast on myself at the time due to the fact that I don't box every class in the game at once to test this out.
If im not posting information, then I feel balancing will not be done... as most of the things I post on are TRUELY out of whack and would have NEVER otherwise been corrected unless I or someone else had posted. The GM's I see online are not the ones working on items and spell combination effects... so I'm unsure of how any of this information would be received if I were not to post the information I do. (Good recent example is the bard 2.0 that was missing a second effect and had an out of line recast timer (and still does but i'll leave that alone as it'll be me whining for more im sure)). Another example would be the Enchanter donater with the SAME effect as the ToV pants, that was only realized when I conveyed this information to a GM who was willing to listen in a ventrilo server. Donater damage was increased after several people had posted in regards to this.. these are just the few things I can remember, I'm sure there are other things im forgetting... oooo! Warrior donater too.
Anyway, this is the information you requested "Show me any SK Lifetap Dot that comes close to this (to my knowledge they don't even have a lifetap dot)." So i've done exactly that, I've shown you an SK life tap that comes close to it, and shown you that SK's do indeed have a lifetap heal over time (woooo!!!) you do whatever it is you feel is necessary to this item (whether it be a change or not, I truely could not care any less than I do as I don't even play the class, nor does anyone else... hmm wonder why?).
