I know this has been talked about alot. As I recall reading they are immune to magic which is great considering they only have 1 hp and I do not mind so much if they die during rampage at least can get a couple hits in then more spawn, but if the mob has a damage shield its instant death and no damage done. So many mobs in the game have Damage shield some that cannot be removed others that instantly recast if you take it away. Could you possibly make them immune to damage shield or give them just a few more than 1 hp to survive a damage shield lol?

Hmm theres no way of making them have immunity for a set period (say 30 seconds)?

I dont want to ask for too much like immunity only something to keep them alive if mob has damage shield lol i know others have talked about immunity for high end mobs that rampage but id be happy if they could just survive a damage shield haha.

The problem with making anything completely immune is that someone will come up with a way to solo everymob in the game etc. :)
Item Change -> Reload needed
Spell Change -> Reload AND new Spellfile needed

yeah I have been playing with swarm pets survival possibilities, and pretty much every time it ends up with an effect which while OK on raid, makes them unkilleable vs any other mobs, allowing them to waste any non-raid target without any retaliation.

So, simply design swarm pets such way that their lifetime is EXPECTED to be no more than 30 seconds, but deal significant damage during this time - kind of like Necro 2.0 swarm pets are now

Im all for that! But i think the point of swarm pets is that as a single wont do much damage but as you get more and more the dps increases and thats where the problem is, dying so quickly youll never get that added dps. High end raiding is gonna be a hard fix like you said but in my opinion if your relying on swarm pets to win a high end battle then your overall dps is lacking too much to be trying that mob. I think they should only be an added bonus and not looked at as a way to increase the dps of a raiding party a huge amount. Take down a mob faster? Great! Take down a mob you normally wouldnt be able to otherwise? No way.

Oh after reading some of the forums I see that the proc on wormslayers harpoon looks the same as the ranger epic which is supposed to be immune to magic? Is that all forms of magic or just magic resistant spells. Cold fire etc takes them out instantly as well.

Would there be any chance to simply increase thier hitpoints to say 500 just to make them at least usable on normal mobs until a resolution can be came up with? I cant even count the number of mobs that have damage shields in this game and its instant death making those procs worthless.
