The problem is that those are type 2 augs, and I don't have gear to support type 2, nor do I want to farm it. There should be more options than just ldon, in my opinion.

I'm just pointing out an option. Just makes more sence to me to get gear tailored to your needs vs getting an item saying "this isn't good enough" then trying to get a dev to change it to your needs.... /shrug maybe I'm off.

I hope that wasn't directed at me, because I'm addressing an issue of a lack of cold focus items and saw an opportunity to add a cold focus where a focus exists that isn't well received. I'm not asking to cater to my needs. I guarantee that my issues are often the same issues of many players. You're idea of "options" is actually very limiting. LDoN was created as ALTERNATIVE means of gearing for those who aren't capable of raiding higher end. I'm capable, therefore, I feel there should be more options available. Currently, there isn't. Don't get me wrong, I appreciate your ideas and suggestions, as I had a very hard time finding many cold focus items, and if you have more options than LDoN that I haven't explored, then I'm all ears.

Could someone please kindly point me to my others options beside ldons and the one rare world boss drop to get true preservation focus for casters? My thread kinda got hijacked here =/

I personally do not have this item..but my guildies do, and when I post on these forums it is not for my personal benefit I speak as the voice of many. I guess Ill have them post their point of view from now on so we can avoid the whole personal gain thing.

If you're raiding you DO have alot more options on gearing.... But if you're looking for something specific I'm just saying why not just opt LDoN? It's just so customizable that it's silly not to concider. You can put that foci in any slot you want with the exception of charm. You don't have to sacrafice some other hard earned piece of gear potentionally to fill this need when you could just drop your least desirable item and insert your new item. Since you're raiding you'll also have alot better options on how to fill the type 8 slot and if you're a donator then you can go all out crazy on the type 1 with a leaf...

On live I'd run into foci that totally didn't match my class all the time, it's part of the pita of sharing loot with other classes. Trust me I don't do backflips over stats like cleave and melee haste on my caster but you'll get that too!

On the focus in question on this post I hijacked true pres is a 26% mana reduction, while it isn't quite as good Glowing Ball of Preservation offers 20% without having to farm Air for it.
