The Hidden Forest

Hello. I have the Enchanter Donor BP and the Donor Weapon. The effect on the (solo) Donor weapon [Staff of the Phantasmist] is Dominating Colors, which is a dire charm up to lvl 73. (I'm saying this for redundancy sake because I'm sure you know this ) -- And one of the worn effects on the Donor Robe is Sovereignty of the Mind which states:

Spell Effect: Allows your charms the ability to Pierce through a NPC's charm resistance by 100%. This will not affect Quest or Boss NPC's

I read that as:

If it isn't named, or flagged for a quest, this item makes your charm spells Unresistable.

If I am wrong already, please correct me.

However I have been resisted (not Immune, actual resists.. where I can get same spell to land next cast) many times. Wearing both items. most recent was in Plane of Fear last night on Amygladen Knights. -- I didn't check a different charm spell to see if I got an "Immune" message.. but I was getting "Resisted this spell" message from them all night. I've had similar problems in SolRo (and I do know some of the mobs there are Immune) -- But I'm not getting "Immune", I'm getting "Resist" message.

Please don't make me look too foolish in your replies.

It's been a while, but certain Amyg mobs are belly casters and will resist all spells cast beyond melee range

Correct. If you are outside their melee box, then any spell will be resisted. That is more than likely the culprit here

Now, can you sneak a couple Vibrant and Gyrating essences onto those Amy Knights... plz.

Little tip if pofear for essences' hunt is also to have a look at worst nightmares. They are not many in there but they repop way faster than any other trash mobs there. I remember getting a couple of essences out of them.

Aye. been doing laps with my mag/chanter killing the nightmares. Slow going but at least I'm tapping into the loot percentages. Hopefully then when it repops I've cycled enough garbage through to get a few drops on a full clear.
