It just occurred to me that there's no upgrade to the skill mod defense for tanks in tier 7. The only thing it appears on is the Drachnid Rib Bone Shield for casters only. There's Defense mod +17% on all the tier 6 breastplates, and +16% on the tier 5 powerful breastplates, but tier 7 seems omitted until tier 8 where there seems to be a plethora of +19% items.

My suggestion would be to replace the dodge skill mod on the Bone Encrusted Breastplate with a +18% Defense mod instead. The dodge skill mod is readily available on the vampire bane earing and the iron plate augs to name 2, and it seems to be the theme to have defence on breastplates anyway.

I think this is a good idea. From what I can see, the only tier that lacks this skill mod is T4 (though you can get it via long range aug in T3, which is still a valid route to obtain the skill as the augs are still useful when fully geared in T4 and you don't have to take a hit on the skill mod %). With T7 only having it on a caster shield, it appears it's been omitted as an oversight; the only way to obtain it is via longer range aug but that's a drop in two tiers on the skill and the AC is very low. All other tiers have this mod freely available to tank classes on a number of items and allow natural progression for tanks.

It currently means a fully geared tank in T7 has to lose a huge chunk of defensive ability, or take a hit in AC as well as drop two tiers on the defensive mod (that or not upgrade their breastplate from T6, which isn't ideal); all of these options are regressive progression.

So, I think it makes a lot of sense to have this skill mod on the Bone Encrusted Breastplate as it would make this a complete upgrade for tank classes from Ancient.
