The Hidden Forest

Kaas Thox Xi Ans Dyek drops these Gauntlets of Dark Embers. The other day I went with Bresh to help him get a pair so that he could use the blacksmithing mod, but we found out they are not all/all. At the current stats they are pretty much useless for anything else except for the mod and the horribly long respawn time would keep them from being on the server too much.

Would it be a problem if we requested that they be made all/all?

Wasn't even aware that people raid Vex Thal. I guess no one did the key quest (since we changed Emp flag) and the zone is open to anyone?

Raid bosses in VT are hardly raid worthy. I can solo blob1 on Hans with a cleric bot. I just saw the mod on the gloves and went to get it. As far as I know, the VT key was removed awhile ago and replaced with a level restriction, but I can't say for sure.

I asked Secrets to close it a week ago or so, but guess she forgot it.

Anyways, it can stay open, we'll just have to remove the illusion items. No near future plan with VT atm.

well i guess you didnt remove just the illusion items? i went there to just have a good time and when i killed blob1 i noticed something wierd. no loot cept spells

Though I'll close the zone for further devving. I love that zone and would like to customize it some day for better player experience. it should have been closed anyways, but instead of status level, the player level was set to 50, heh.. fixed now.

If you customize VT, how about you make it a progressive zone? For example, if your guild (or group, if you make it a group zone) progresses and kills named X (probably one before 1 of the port crystals) then a fairy spawns which will flag toons to be able to use a port fairy. This port fairy would be located at the entrance and it would port you to the next level of VT.

The worst part of VT was easily the clearing, and adding a system like this would not only avoid the need for CoTH bot toons but it would also add a custom feel to it.

Also, I would suggest making it a group zone. The beginning could be easier mobs with a named that's doable with a group of people who can do Trakanon, and build it up to mobs that are unbeatable even by our top geared players. This way we have something to look forward to when we gear ourselves up further

In order to keep people from zerging these mobs though, maybe you can bug Striat to code something where if more than 6 PC's are attacking the named then it recieves a significant boost in power.

yeah, good idea! I myself was thinking to make the wings like tiers too. Striat is working on the new rev atm, but he said he's willing to do some content design too soon, and that means quality custom scripts! so yeah, everything is possible

btw I loved this zone, still remember the first time I zoned in after the everlasting key quest and challenging emperor kill. good old memories
