Upgrading HoH evolved armor to the VT gear using method 2 with the NPC apparently destroys augs. Is this intentional? And if it is... why!

NPC name, item name/ID, etc would help a lot. Thanks in advance.

Cant evolve from hoh To vt. You need to do hoh then dsk then vt.

NPCs should not eat items/augs so NPC name, item name/ID, etc would help a lot regardless, so we can look into it.

If you use the armor patterns from VT to skip the dsk3 armor upgrade (go from HoH right to VT) it will eat the augs. It does not do this if you go HoH to dsk3 to VT. It happened when I did it with Takin and his legs but that was many months ago. I mentioned this in warning to Eschew as he was planning on doing a few upgrades in that same fashion. I dont think he has done the turn in on anyone yet.

Eh, Sian is right. In fact, the second method just crafts the armor without using the T8 gear. I was under the impression we had to trade the T8 gear to the vendor, but I guess not. So not sure where your augs went... and I guess this post was pointless

Sorry, I was under the impression all the methods to upgrade HoH gear required the evolved T8 version, so when Mary told me the augs were being destroyed it had to be true! Sorry about the mixup.

The NPC is Huynil ... with gear like Lucid Entwood Vambraces, in case you want to double check for the dsk3 to VT upgrade method (which does use the item from DSK3).

And yeah, one method requires DSK armor (doesn't eat augment), while the other doesn"t require anything but eats augments since it actually creates something new iirc (and is harder to get since you need etched pattern of power which drops from mini in VT). That method while thus require you to take off old augments to put it on the new shiny armor you have crafted.
