Hello... me again!

Got this amazing item tonight for the beautiful Linamani Mark of Luclin.

Was curious about the clicky - the in game description says it "creates a doppleganger of your target with added bonuses and strength" ... however it seems to just be a shadowstep? Just looking for clarification. I got excited for a new pet clicky or something

Interesting. Is there a limitation on what target it can be used on? I was clicking through mobs, npcs, players but the only time it worked was when I targeted myself and it shadowstepped me to some random npc nearby.

Did you have a NPC targetted when you used it?

The only restriction i can see on the cast is that you cannot use it on yourself and you have to be in combat.

Every time I try to use it on an NPC, it says the target resisted or that it couldn't take hold. The only time the cast did something was when I was targeting my self (Linamani, targeting herself) at which point it ported me to a nearby npc in the Hidden Forest. Specifically one of the npcs in the cave with the target dummies.\

However, I did not try to use it in combat... So I will try that next

Yeah definately try it in combat. It's designed to be used as an "escape" from your target. It places the doppleganger 1% hate value higher than your hate so they take aggro and then ports you a short distance away

Cool! It indeed does summon the doppleganger. I'm not sure how strong the doppleganger is meant to be, but she dies in a few hits to something in icewell. The true Linamani would never!
