Was just wondering how rare the PoFire items are meant to be. We've gotten enough patterns for nearly the entire guild, yet only 2-3 actual item drops. We've still gotten 0 cloaks from Quav, 0 Capes from Blazz, 0 ranges from Pyro.

Aye. It's always patterns. Sometimes the very same pattern x2. Very slim chances at item drops it appears.

I think a lot of this has to do with the way loot chances go. There is some declining % chance depending on where the item is located in the loot table. For example, lets take the classic Lady M example:

When killed, this NPC drops :
# With a probability of 100% (multiplier : 2):

1. Mithril Boots, Armor
2. Mithril Gauntlets, Armor
3. Mithril Helm, Armor
4. Orb of the Crimson Bull, Gems
5. Ebony Headband, Armor

I think we'll agree (those who have camped her) that there is not the same chance for an orb or headband as there is for the mithril items. These examples don't only pertain to PoFire, but are in every zone which has mobs with many drops. What is the rhyme or reason to which is more rare? I have no clue as some, such as Lady M, have an obvious order, but then others seem to be reversed such as Pyronis and his sphere.

The orb has a lower drop chance by default though, like 5%. The headband should be the same.

Changed to the following: All PoFire Raid mobs now have 3 loot tables.

100% that 2 spells will drop
100% that 2 patterns will drop
50% that the extra Item will drop

And, Jeido, what do you mean they have a lower drop chance by default? I know you've mentioned this before, but they're all in the same drop set. Is there a second set of drop rules which doesn't show up on the clone? I never understood that. The trend with the orb is the same trend I see with getting plate/chain stuff both in ST and PoFire.

Correct. There is a separate percentage for the drop chance of an actual item that we cannot see.

So then the drop rate we see on the clone doesn't mean much or is it just a given that the second drop rate is 99% of the time the same? Just curious, not complaining.
