Active Antithesis Residue

Has there been any intentional change with this item? I haven't seen it drop for a few years.

Maybe you are missing the part where it's not just a normal drop.

Didn't miss anything. It's supposed to show up sometimes when a mob dies under the effects antithesis, of which I already knew since I did all that before the wiki was written. It's not working. Saying it is working doesn't work, not even in the psychological antagonizing department ;)

Indeed, it's supposed to be a 5% drop chance if you are doing things right. This was not changed since back then.

How do you reduce the regen on the mobs and do you get any confirmation emotes about the regeneration being modified? How exactly are you trying to obtain the item?

Generally I stick to using the zone spell for the paladin that has the antithesis proc. Yes the antithesis emotes are there. Did you even bother to check in actual play testing before continuing on the path that I'm doing it wrong?

Yes, I did bother, this is why I asked for more input from you.
BTW I also checked that 75+ Active Antithesis Residues are in players inventory right now and more than 125 players completed this rare and unique quest since launch. Posting this just to cheer this thread up a little bit.

No secret Frey and I are in the same guild and normally are in agreement when something is broken.

Not this time, this is working as intended. I just got one to drop.

Now with that said.. I do not have Ultimate Antithesis on any character yet, where Frey does have it. Does it have to be the single mob race item in order for it to drop?

Example.. I am fighting Blighted Bazu. Do I have to use Blighted Bazu Banisher or will Ultimate Antithesis produce the same result?

I don't know about cheer, but posting statistics might be a way to try and shape the opinion of the reader that something isn't wrong. The spell isn't working, and I would imagine it stopped working the same way all spells here stop working sometimes, and even though I don't know specifics, it's probably got something to do with code import or blanket copy/paste without checking after. So in this specific case, the function of the antithesis component was wiped off the paladin self buff when it was there before. I have no idea why the default reaction for reporting something being wrong is denial. That's the point of a bug, you don't know it happened. We know where we are. There is no need or point in feeling embarrassed over something slipping through the cracks here. It's expected to happen.

The bottom line is that when I did that quest six times to get my group through, not once was an antithesis item clicked to prompt a residue drop, but I got them anyway, via another means made available in game. Now that means is gone. Now if this turns out to be another case of expertise, as in not being able to fix it just like the technical know-how wasn't there to fix the recast on items that have spells that share the same line a while back, then that is fine, but let's not try and have a saving face type narrative set in place over it.
