I've got Galdriel's gift on some toons, but still seem to be getting hit by the Mist of Darkness.
Maybe they are negating Mist of Darkness I, but not II etc. (Tysin has Mist of Darkness with the Decrease stats by 450 etc.)

The debuff blocking is purely based on spell ID, so it's either blocked or not. The 4 different Mist of Darkness spells are blocked when you enter the zone and then periodically (when the zone checks for players having flags and items). If you still get the debuff for any reason, that might be a fluke, re-zoning could be a workaround to that.
Maybe there's some rare circumstances for when a character doesn't get checked, lag/desync or anything else. Please keep an eye out and let me know if you could find more info on when it's happening.
