Summoning Focus

When summoning a pet with the focus from Nolaen's Lifereaper Sandals I've noticed that when cast on my epic pet it works and raises the lvl of my pet, but when I zone the pet looses the level again(while keeping everything else buffs, gear, etc)

When I saw the mage epic pet fix in the notes I thought I'd try these out again to see if it worked for us now. Same issue, they get the bonus effect but upon zoning it all goes away.
