Tyler, Tyler, Tyler!! I know you love meleeing casters, but no casters like to melee :p this item went to bots, we had 2 drop. Seems like such a waste it's not an upgrade for 1.5's casters because of their focus effects on their epics. Even if it were, they wouldn't be able to melee on any mob that actually runs them OOM because of the fact that almost all raid mobs AE rampage.

Idk, imo it should be changed to either secondary/ranged usable or something.

A weapon that gives a +500 mana every proc goes to bots? ooooookkkkkk. So much for casters need more mana! Guess thats not true then.

Beside, there is like 5 mobs that AE rampage. Rampage yes, but not AE

I know Tyler, I see where you were going with this, but still. Ssra it would be great in, but in ToV all of the dragons AE ramp, and all the drakes either AE ramp or have a 3k AE nuke, which makes it unusable in that zone. Kael is also full with mobs who AE ramp, so basically it's only useful in ssra :\

Back to the Item - sure its situational. But back when i played on Live (Enchanter for years) i would have killed for something like that.

haha I couldn't agree with you more! Lillu loves AE ramp and actually, a few mobs in ssra do AE ramp also. Rhag 2, AL, and HP all AE ramp I believe. Those are the mobs pet lovers hate.

I just checked,

AL and HP don't AE rampage. Rhag`Zhezum (is that Rhag2? I always mix them up) doesn't AE rampage. Creator doesn't AE Rampage either, neither does Emperor.

No mob in Kael AE rampages really. Not even mini nameds.

The Symbol droppers in EastWing do AE rampage or cast AE DD. No Dragon in West Wing AE Rampages.

So to me it seems there is lots of playing grounds for your bots to med up while meleeing

I'm not sure abotu the rhag names, Tyler, but I do know that Tormax was AE ramping the sh** out of our melee last night. Idol also AE ramped when I tested him, I believe vindi was also but I know AoW didn't. Also, last night when we did Statue he was AE rampaging.

Well unless someone tweaked the Database overnight (which might very well happen as we don't keep logs of who did what) they don't AE rampage at all.

At least no mob in Kael has the cross in the AE Rampage field if you know what i mean.

Anyways - i plan lots of caster stuff coming up. This weapon is a (tiny) part of the ongoing goal to improve casters and make them more desirable. Personally, im sick of seeing 10 melee and 1 int caster on raids so let's see if we can change that

did you check Glyphed Covered Serpant? Raiding him right now, and he's AE ramping for sure. Spoke with Lillu today and he said that any mob that rampages is AE ><

I'm not going to waste dkp on something i'm not going to use period an extra 500 mana per hit? yea its nice, but i'm not losing the 60% spell focus on the epic for 500 mana a hit.

Whats with you guys and rampage anyhow? Int casters arn't going to melee a mob untill they're out of mana, even with a weapon like that and 99% of raid bosses that are in game at the moment are dead before i use 2 mana bars (roughly 22k mana).

Its a nice fluff item sure, but as i said, i'm not going to lose the spell focus on the epic 1.5 to use it. All of my personal damage is from spells, if i lose the spell focus that damage takes a nose dive.

Its int he same situation as the mana twisted staff, as you said its situational, i would have looted one as fluff but we work dkp on raids and i dont want to waste my dkp on fluff

Personally i think all of you need to sit down and play an int caster
