In-game description says that it increases weapon damage

Alla-clone description of brilliance of the elder says spell damage is increased, which seems to be correct.

Good thing I looted it with my Zerker and not my mage
(Guess it pays to check alla before looting)

It sounds like you might have a bad spell description file. Have you run the latest installer?

Yes, I had the newest files (I say had because this all happened before the last reboot).

Fixed with next installer release.
