Hello,
The closest thread I found on this subject was , "Question about improved charm quest". Since this quest does not seem to be working for me (as of today) I'm not sure if it's the quest or some kind of bug with one of my characters.
My level 41 beastlord (Hatul) is trying to turn it in to no avail. Yes I've killed both goblins, and yes I've hailed Lilly (not the queen or any other npc) and yes she says the proper dialogue about being a savior and turning it in etc..
One thing I noticed as the ability to "give" items to other NPC's but not Lilly. I've asked others in-game SINCE my inability to turn in and have not heard of anyone successfully doing it. With such great content and intricate design I'm sure this is an easy fix (even if it's just a bugged character). Looking forward to a response.

What do you mean by "trying to turn it in to no avail"? What happens when you open up a trade window and trying to turn the charm in?
For the note, I just tested and Lilly takes (and returns) items perfectly fine. I also checked and your player character flags are proper,the quest should work for you.

I looked up what stage Hatul is on for this quest and you have successfully defeated both goblins and are ready for your reward, just as you said. The last step is to trade your Charm of Queen Adrianne to Lilly (in The Hidden Forest) to receive the upgraded version. It sounds like you've attempted to do just that and it didn't work, but I'd like to confirm that you handed the correct item to the correct NPC. I tested your current stage of the quest, myself, just now and was properly rewarded when I traded the charm you have. Did you happen to try turning in the charm to one of Lilly's sisters instead of Lilly herself?
While uncommon, other things that can cause a quest NPC to be unresponsive are:
[1] The quest NPC is not targeted by the player.
[2] The player is standing too far away from the quest NPC. Melee range is adequate 99% of the time, but occasionally players will not get a response until they stand on top of an NPC.
[3] The quest NPC was targeted from very far across the zone (usually using 3rd party programs). NPCs usually only register being targeted by a player when the player is in somewhat close proximity (spell range is a safe estimate). Simply clicking on the NPC again is inadequate. Players much change their target (easiest to target yourself) and then target the quest NPC within the appropriate range.
[4] The player is invisible or hiding and the NPC cannot see invis. This has been fixed for most, if not all NPCs, but a rare few may remain.

DONE I don't use 3rd party programs, and I tried several methods of retarget (including the one you mentioned) as I've seen it as a bug on other servers.

Yes, I'm glad that she works perfectly fine in your test. I'm also glad to know my character has the flags. I even redid the quest several times after initial problem with turn-in, hailing each fairy along the way (had to wait around a bit for respawns but I hope no one else needed at the time).
So the irony is I attempted to augment an item and crashed. Twice. I found the forum section dealing with this issue and am (as I type) re-installing a fresh EQ directory specifically for THF. I'm thinking (hoping) my charm quest related malady will be cured at the same time as the augment and am thinking it has something to do with the previous install (since it seems to work just fine for everyone else). I hope someday someone else who has this issue can connect the dots faster than I did, but we'll see if the fresh re-install (and following the checklist yes I know) will work.
On a side note I am VERY impressed with the response time to a forum post!! Lillu and Noren even if this doesn't get resolved right away I am dedicated to making it so due to the caliber of your obvious dedication to this server. I will update my progress as further steps are taken.

Thanks for the kind words, Hatul. After your latest post, I realize that I misunderstood what you originally wrote. My apologies. So, as I understand it now you cannot open a trade window with Lilly but can with most other NPCs. Strange, indeed! I suspect that you are right about it being a client issue. I am currently attempting to figure out the UF install (already re-installed it 3 times). I have a new computer, somewhat expensive graphics card etc so it's not an issue like that.
I've given up on the Improved Charm quest and augment issue (could NOT get it fixed), and have decided to go with the UF client instead. It installs great, patches quick (like almost no files to patch) but it keeps telling me wrong username/password. I noticed that the eqhost.txt file has already been fixed pre-install (good idea) but I'm somewhat confused as to why I"m getting this password/username error. I did see the post regarding this :

Yes. You can alternatively create a THF account by simply filling out the registration form: HERE. Both account types are equally supported.
Q3: How do I use the THF Private Login Server?
1. If you have a THF account, go on to step 3. Please note that the THF player account is not the same as THF forum account.
2. If you have an eqemu account, register (link it) to the THF login server. You can check if the account is linked already ingame with the #getlsinfo command.
To do so, log in to THF game server using the eqemu login server. Once you are in game, run the following command #setlsinfo accountname password email
For example : #setlsinfo MyAccountName MyPassword myemail@email.com
You'll need to repeat this with all of your existing eqemu accounts, can use the same email address for any and all your accounts.
But I am somewhat concerned about attempting to change my password/username in-game like this as I"m not sure how it's supposed to be typed (you know 1 typo can destroy everything) and if I make a mistake not sure how it's going to be fixed from even the eqemu side.
A little side information I do have a perfectly good working P1999 account/eq directory so it's not a problem to log in and do these types of modifications if necessary.

It works!! It's a LONG story and you can ask Noren, but it finally works.
I just got the underfoot client and then went through the usual setup process although the client pointer was a bit confusing we got it straightened out in the end!

I think im confused. If i DL the UF client and deleted my titanium, would i have to re-download titanium to log on and link my account? Gahh XD

No, you can (and should) have separate EverQuest installations for different servers. In your case one Titanium installation for P99 and an UF client for THF. Do not mix the two clients or you'll run into trouble on both servers.
