PLAYER AURAS!

Player Auras Feedback::

The Player Auras quest came screeching to a halt today after killing Dranco, in Lake Rathetear when he dropped ::
webtools/itemss.php?id=99313
because the NPC :: Erundi Zermiun led us to believe the NPC Dranco had stolen relic or something and would allow us to continue on our quest once we had returned it.

Also, none of the NPCs so far have been track-able.

Did you read all of his story line? He gives you clues where the relic was lost at.

why the ridiculous (and retarded) respawn time on the ground spawns? people incapable of completing the quest grab these and just waste time

Because the quest is meant to be an epic style quest. People were choosing to use the static zone exploit to get around the respawn timer that the database had. So i implemented it in a way that does not allow for the exploit to work.

This quest is meant to be a time crunch and a bottleneck. Not something that everyone and their bots can breeze through in one day because they decided to use a known EQEmu exploit and reset the zone 6 times.

However, after looking over the stats, and speaking with a few people. The following has been implemented:
1. Ground spawns, when picked up at the right time in the quest, will respawn in 2 hours
2. Ground spawns, when picked up at the wrong point in the quest will not have a respawn timer.
**Note - Picking up the items ahead of time WILL NOT benefit you. The quest has been changed to update upon picking up the items are the correct point in the quest. Doing so early will only result in you having to destroy the item and pick it up again at the correct time. **

Please tell me this does NOT effect those who have already been working on the quest...i just got the 3 "dark" pieces and need to kill the next mob, i hope i don't have to redo everything i've already done...

If you have already started the quest it will not affect you

I sure hope Versus is not on a 10hour respawn timer for fails, if so that should be a nice bottleneck.

Adjustment to this:

When you pick up the items at the wrong point in the quest (example: trying to pick up the crystal before you speak with Ahenu). You will receive a message stating that you cannot use this item, and it will be automatically deleted from your inventory.

Again, if you pick up the item out of order, it will not have a respawn timer. When you pick them up at the correct step in the quest, it will have a 2 hour respawn.

Problem.

I went into Crystal Caverns, made it down to Versus. Hailed him, went through the quest dialogue. Gave him the four items that he asked for. Versus ate the items, and nothing happened. No further chat, no action of any sort and did not spawn any other mob.

This happened with my warrior Dumb Azaroc.

I noticed that mobs / events are on a 10-12 hour respawn on a fail, I find that to be extremely harsh as some events take double digit attempts just to figure out, which would mean a week or two if we raided every night to get down one fight. If you had done that in dreadspire I don't think I would've even zoned in, don't think there was anything like that on live? Can the respawn timer be lowered to 10-20 minutes?
