The Hidden Forest

The title may seem confusing but I will try to explain. Recently doing quests on raid, I had issues on getting credit for some of the quests. So far I had it happen on the 7th Charm quest and The 2.0 epic quest where you need to kill specific ToV quest.

My raid group consisted of:

Group 1= War, Clr1, Mag, Nec, Brd, Rog
Group 2= Sk, Clr2, Bst, Ench, Rng, Shm

The wierd thing is that I thought it was the 2nd group that did not get the credit. But it was quite random. For instance on the 7th charm quest on the arena event, I know the Clr2 did not get credit after the 2nd boss since she died (sais in wiki too). But at the end of the whole event, Clr1 did not get credit for the last 3 kills. On group 2, Sk, Ench, Shm did not get credit from the 3rd mob. Appart from Clr2, none of them died in combat. Also they were all close together.

Same configuration on ToV. The SK, Ench, Clr2, Bst did not get credit on the 2nd part of the task (NToV named kill). No member died and they were once again close to each other. Any pointers to prevent future issues like this is appreciated.

Make sure that all of your characters are on the mobs Hatelist. If not, then that specific character will not receive credit

Is that the definitive fix for this?

I've had characters sat at zone-in who get credit but when I've had characters not get credit (as with op, this is only on a raid) they were hitting the target. I do recall once when it was a character sat at zone but it's definitely occurred with engaged characters. It's seemingly random.

It doesn't happen often.

On one occasion one of my rangers didn't get credit for the minions of tov quest for 3/4 of the listed dragons on one task. To be sure he could progress, we did lady nevedaria in a single group.

That is how the system works. You have to be on the Hatelist of the mob to get credit for tasks. There are a few zones that are exempt such as HoH and Nadox.

Since it's a ranger , I suggest you just make sacrifice him.

It's possible he wasn't attacking. If this happens again I'll check to be sure.

Firenze, if there was a quest line where the objective was to die as often as possible in the shortest time frame, my rangers would be fully geared by now
