steam installed SoD

ok so i have HoT, and SoD, and SoF installed thru steam ...

I also have the Tri seperately installed

is it possible to have the SoD installed - ( unpatched ) or does steam autopatch it ? I havent noticed.

Also - Is it possible to play HoT ( Live ) thru the steam client and also be able to run the ( SoD ) thru the steam for *THF server*

I hope that is less confusing to you then it is for me to write.. Appreciate it !

If I remember right the SoD client from steam was patched up awhile back and is similar to UF client. I own all versions of EQ compatible with emu and my SoD and UF from steam both work, however my SoD was obtained before it was patched, so I can't say for sure if it will work with THF or not, but I'm pretty sure it does.

ok ... so i have an idea - ( If i redownload steam version of SoD ) *Copy the entire file collection and place it into another folder < program files / program files x64 > then I should be able to install my HoT thru steam - and THF info on the 2nd copy of the SoD .

In theory its the same game but 2 different copies - one launcher for Live, the other for THF. as long as the patcher for the original steam version doesnt interfear with the copied files ... /shrug ..

Will let you know tonight after i reinstall =)
