Yeah, copying over character UI files can cause issues. But, one of the great things about SoD is that it has the ability to copy UIs from other characters. So, once you get one character's UI setup perfectly, it is simple to copy that same layout to other characters. Also, even though the character UI files don't, copy over well, the normal character files that are for hotkeys and such seem to copy over fine in general (ex. Trevius_THF.ini but not UI_Trevius_THF.ini).

I will download a clean install today, because so far SoD randomly crashes (totally randomly). Once it crashes, I can't log bag that specific toon till I delete his character specific files (no I don't use custom ui). Also, they tell channel limitation drives me nuts, specially that I have to send insane lots of tell. Putting AFK on and getting some universal chat service eroor and stuff.. and so far I only spent a few mins on SoD just to test our LS..
Once again, I'll try a new install today, but I if it's like this, I stick to Titanium <3

Hmm, I am not sure why you would be getting random crashes on SoD. I haven't crashed a single time and nearly everyone else I have spoken to about it says it is much more stable than even Titanium is. If you patched to Live at all, then I could see some crash issues, as that client isn't ready yet, but SoD is pretty awesome. Also, I am not aware of any tell limitations. I am not sure what you mean by that.

Make sure you have the SoF spell file for your server in the SoD directory, or you will probably get some weird issues and crashes. Other than that, it should be rock solid.

Works absolutely fine for me too - even 3 chars at once, not a single crash.

What i notice though is , when i camp out, i get back to server select and then no server is there to select ;) Could be related to our private login tho, no idea.

Also, can someone please tell me how i can get rid of this VoTe now or later! stuff everytime i log on?

Chat:EnableAntiSpam = true
does this rule affects SoD only?

When I try to send more than like 5 tells quickly, I get a 30 secs penatly not being able to send another tell..

and I'm guessing I have some files patched, but will see tonight anyways.

You mean 30 secs? I got 25 secs countdown or so yesterday. Annoying for sure.

Ok I've been tinkering around trying to get SoD to work and getting the reference error that some have mentioned:

"The instruction at 0x02abb2f6 referenced memory at 0x000000044. The memory could not be read."

I run Windows 7, Intel quad core

Have tried adjusting compatability, resolution, eqclient.ini values. Tried 640 mode... nothing helping yet. The referece numbers might change some but otherwise same error. I looked at the UIErrors.txt and it has this:

UIErrorLog created at Fri Oct 17 16:46:16 2008
[Fri Oct 17 16:46:17 2008] Error: Could not find child Credits_SoF_Page in window credits

[Fri Oct 17 16:46:17 2008] Error: Could not find child Credits_SoF in window credits

[Fri Oct 17 16:46:17 2008] Error: Could not find child Credits_SoD_Page in window credits

[Fri Oct 17 16:46:17 2008] Error: Could not find child Credits_SoD in window credits

Also when creating my folder I uninstalled Titanium(which worked perfectly on my Win 7), deleted the entire EQ folder, then created a new eq folder and copied the entire EQ folder from my Steam location into it.

*edit* also tried adjusting the cpu affinity with no success
*edit x2 after more monkeying I got it up! I ended up removing the compatablility and just running as admin and I got in ;)
