AA's Greyed out!

I've had this issue for awhile now and hoped it would go away :P I haven't been able to purchase any new levels of Combat Agility or Combat Stability. I'm listed as having 2/3 for both of them in the 1st tier of them. Anyone have any ideas as to how I can fix this?

I have this same issue, though it never occurred to me to care much before, because i'm missing out on a skill i don't care about: Innate Disease Protection.

'lo.

I have several of the innate stats that are doing this to me too.

But I noticed something : I was burning points in those innate str/dex... all of them, and sometimes, when I click, I gain 2 levels of the skill and then it greys out. Like, Advanced innate wisdom 5/10, I click, it goes to 7/10 and greys.

I'm guessing the buying of the skill somehow fails, you actually have lvl X in the skill but it displays X+1 and since you miss one level, it's greyed since you don't have the pre-req.

Screen with in the lower part the "You have improved Advanced Innate Wisdom 5 at a cost of 1 ability point". Innate Sta, Str, Int, Dex, Cha, Agi and first aid are greyed too :?

i suppose this is due to inconsistency of AA coding between T and SoD client, and looking at your screenshots - you both using SoD...

No other ideas atm...

Is there any kind of tool or method to check a character's level in a given AA ? That "gain 2 levels instead of one and grey out" sounds highly fishy to me.

I'm curious to know what it would say for my advanced innate wisdom for instance. Advanced innate sta too, or innate strength.
Edit here : I checked on Magelo, it says Innate strength 2, advanced innate stamina 6, advanced innate wisdom 6, looks like my impression was right.

Incidentally, I bought all resistances and advanced resistances with titanium long ago, never had a problem. With the stats, I think every one of them bugged on me with SoD (including innate first aid), at various levels :?

I've got the same problem where my first aid is bugged. I can't get it to 3/3 which is needed to put points in critical mend on my monk. I heard from a friend who said he got a bugged AA fixed by using titanium client so maybe you should check it out and let us know your findings. I only have been using sof/sod client and don't have titanium to use to fix this AA bug.

Not quite as easy as just using Titanium for me though. The Character is a drakkin! I'll need some GM help to change the race to something I can use with Titanium client :D

Switching to Titanium will solve the issue.

Unless you're drakken of course!

I thought about trying with Titanium, but am a bit worried about possible side effects with the bank for instance, though I'm not quite using them for now (just a bag of spells and more spells in the slots). Anyone seeing another vaguely possible issue ?

I think you can play Drakkin characters on Titanium, but they show up as Human. Been a while, but I am pretty sure I have done it before.

The extra bank slots won't get messed up by using Titanium either. They just aren't accessible, but they are still there. When you switch back to SoD, they will be there.

BTW, are you guys using SoF or SoD? I fixed that AA issue a while back for SoD, but maybe I forgot to fix it for SoF.

EDIT: Yeah, confirmed you can play Drakkin on Titanium. And, it looks like the fix for buying AAs should be for SoF and SoD both I think. Maybe the fix somehow got reverted with your custom code or maybe THF is running source from before the fix? I fixed it back in Rev1453.

Though, we really need to increase the space for storing AAs to match the newer clients. Currently, we are limited to 240 AAs being saved, but SoF and SoD can load up to 300.
