I figured I would post this because it might help with others that have had the same problem as I did.
While all the client hangs that lead to crashes was going on, I took notice my overall internet connection was not as fast as I thought it should be. During the evening hours, I could not even watch Youtube videos because they would constantly stop every 5 seconds to buffer. I chalked it up to network saturation on my ISP's part during peak hours.
Well about 2 weeks ago, I had enough, I would crash with only one client running every time I zoned, and forget about web browsing, it was horrid. So I did a speed test from both my ISP and speedtest.net and I was pretty upset at what my results were indicating.
My Internet package via cable modem, is 5 meg download, with only 384K upload (they are really stingy with their upload speeds) but when I ran the speed test, it was showing my download speed barely above a meg, and the upload speeds sometimes would not register they were so slow. Not to mention the packet loss was ungodly bad.
I called up my ISP and they sent a tech out with a new cable modem, and since then my connection is what its advertised at, 5Meg download, and 384K upload. I can run 5 clients, and still have streaming video running in the background without a hiccup.
For the past two weeks, I have yet to have a client hang then crash. Such a beautiful thing.
Anyway I wanted to share with you guys how this ended up for me.
