character missing

I spent all night last nite playing a vah shir beastlord. got him up to 16 or so (half the time was spent figuring out what to do lol). So I log in just now to continue playing and he's gone...i'm back to having 8 "create new character" slots. anyone have this problem or know how i can fix it? I can't leave the computer on 24/7 and don't want to restart a toon everytime i play.

Log out and back in, that happens from time to time.

it happens sometimes that at char select, eventho you had THF selected previously, you end up logging on to another server's char creation screen. always scared the hell out of me every time it happened

back in the 99 it was one hellova problem for newbies
The client did not keep track of which server you logged in last. So a newcomer would log into first server selected at the top (which was sorted in order of lowest population atm) and on the next day it would be some OTHER server there - and the screams would start on message boards- where the heck my char?

I remember that. I was ok untill they merged my server with another one. I had no clue what to play on after that.
