I know it's been awhile since the Achievement page has been up, and I was wondering what the status was.

I broke it

I intend to fix it someday. We just have a LOT going on in the background right now.

Unfortunately, for some reason best known to the Gods of Norrath, every query to that page lags the **** out of the server, like MAJORLY. So we decided to turn it off for the time being until there is time to fix it so it doesn't lag the game server

perhaps do this: extract the achievement results from the DB into individual file for the webpage only, and only update it like once a week, so it doesn't need to query the actual DB

Chaos, the "how to" is never a question, rather the "who" and "when".. You should know that.

Out of curiosity, does viewing Magelo profiles and LDON rankings also query the db and lag the server?

No, that's part of the mystery
