R.I.P. Warrior aggro

You will be missed.

In all seriousness tho, this recent proc change could be absolutely detrimental to a warriors ability to hold aggro. Even while spamming taunt and flurry with two hate augs It can be a challenge to hold aggro against even my rogue bot.

Whereas sk's have spells and/or shields with hate effects warrior have maintained by our ability to duel wield and thus have more procs fire for hate.

I fully understand the need for this change to procs but I hope an open mind is kept while observing the affect this will have on the warrior class.

while i agree this could potentially put a big hurt on warrior threat its gonna have to be tested a little before i can say 1 way - not sure how much testing the devs did regarding this (if any), i will be watching threat/dps and such closely tonight while we are in DS, and hopefully be able to come back with a solid report.

but i do agree this could hurt, i have enough trouble sometimes holding agro off our dps with things the way they were, might be alot of dead DPS in DS tonight lol.

thats the thing, this effects the dps just as much as the warriors, the hate generated by dps was mainly due to all the procs. This change will effect their aggro just as much, "Theoretically" (and that's a BIG theoretically) this change should not really effect overall aggro other than between wars and knights.

Don't get me wrong, i'm not sure how much I like this until i try it out, at first thought i am totally against it, mainly because most of my dps came from my monk and her procs (and her ability to stay alive with all the KoL procs she had), now this will severely hamper my ability to be able to kill mobs :(

yeah i was thinking that as well, this will really affect our melee dps, but unfortunately it doesnt really do much for the already heavy agro hitters such as Wizards (who are a pita to hold agro over at times)

Comes down to testing tho, and it really will determine which tank class is @ the top of the threat list these days, gonna be testing some agro fights against my other tanks, as well as telling my dps to really push it to see what happens.

I would like to understand the mechanics involved in this change. For instance, dual wielding weapons with a couple procs each, equipment clicky effect procs, and additional epic clicky effect procs (which have a high modifier). What determines proc priority? (which ones trump which), or is it random? Testing should yield some results I suppose.

I never imagined it would be necessary for me to swap my KoL augs out for hate, but meh, I'm not really concerned. If I set aside the potential adversity I'll find myself faced with over this change, I start think of how this benefits the server collectively.

Deleted the last dramafest post and locking this thread. Everything was explained ingame and here at the forums aswell. Again, we will fix issues as soon as we are able and balance game where it's need to be balanced. If you would like to help, please post any bug you would encounter.
