Jesus another one of these threads.
The characters are not gone just because you did a new install.
Login using the same method and same account you used in the past, was it the eqemu login or was it the THF private login.

i originally used the EQemu log in, but i could not use augments...it would crash me, then i did the fresh install and changed the Eqhost.txt file to thf server instead of the EQemu one.

Your EQemu account and THF loginserver accounts are treated separately unless you start with EQemu and use ingame commands to register a private loginserver account. This associates the two and allows your characters to appear on both.

Since you didn't, your characters are all associated with the EQemu login only, and won't appear if you use THF's loginserver.

Simply change your EQHost file to use the EQemu loginserver again, and your characters should be available once more. You didn't need to switch loginservers after the fresh install.
Characters
Malarath - Lv70 Froglok Necromancer, 700+ AAs, progress T7-2
Valtar - Lv70 Gold Drakkin Wizard, 300+ AAs, progress T7-1
Szakadar -Lv70 Iksar Monk, 100+ AAs, progress T5
