Problems with the THF Installer

I am really computer dumb I guess because I cant get the game to work right. I went through the whole Grab the up to date custom THF files: custom Spell file, custom THF Installer, But I dont get the whole Open up your file browser on your computer and find the directory you installed EverQuest into. Double click C:, then Program Files, then EverQuest. Find a file called eqgame.exe. Right click it, chose add shortcut. Take that new shortcut, right click on it, hit Properties and add a patchme at the end of the line so it reads like this: "C:\Program Files\Everquest\eqgame.exe" patchme. I tried it but first off i dont see a file that says eqgames.exe. I just se an EQ file that is a exe application. And when I trie to copy that one it dont let me it says that I cannot do the function so I dont know how to get the game started without it patching can someone please help me... Thanks

What version of everquest are you using? (Titanium, SOD, SOF, anything else that is supported on THF/EQEmu)

You can allways download the paranodi version (Zip File) and extract/overwrite the files in the Everquest folder.

If you are running a x64 OS, your install directory might be
C:\Program Files (X86)/Everquest

It all depends where you installed/copied the folder to.

Im running Windows 7 and I have the titanium box set. I know where the files are but when I try to do what it askes me to do I cant copy the file that is the EQ exe application cause it says I cannot perform that function.

EQ by default will install into program files still I think.
Try moving the entire everquest folder somewhere else, like c:\games

I do believe it has to be the eqgame.exe and not the EQ.exe which will probably try to run the patcher. Try typing "eqgame" in the window and it should take you to the file.
Your description of how to edit the eqgame shortcut sounds correct.

Sigh The problem is I DONT SEE a eqgame.exe is it because its in the progtragms directory?? Im really getting irritated (
