Everfrost - Zoning

Same type of issues as reported here - viewtopic.php?f=126&t=11957

I have been able to get into this zone no problem over the entire span of the event until today. The difference, someone else was in the zone. Previously nobody else was in the zone or at most 6 others when i zoned in. Today there were roughly 20 others (checked before zoning). All toons I attempted to zone in either crashed to login, crashed to char select, crashed the client completely or ping just kept climbing (started at 500, last time i looked was up to 22K+). Looking at the zone it appears the other group went Linkdead as well.

It seems like 30 is about the limit in zones before you start to get adverse affects.

Don't really know what to say, nothing was changed. We'll do a reboot later today or tomorrow morning the latest. That should fix similar anomalies (server is online for 9+ days now without a restart).

I did not happen again once the other person's characters were out of the zone. I ran the 4 raid instances and zoned back into Everfrost without issue. I also zoned in later that night while doing the xmas quests, also with no issue.

I have experienced the same type of issue in Umbral where I had my 20 in the zone getting ready to go into VT and someone brought their 18+ in. I lost a good percentage of mine to LD and from the characters that did stay in zone and doing a zone check it looked like most of their characters went LD as well so there were only a few (4-6) that were still active. This was about 3 weeks ago or so. It only happened that one time so did not report then.

Alright, thanks for the detailed explanation. Will check the porter script for any possible flaw.
