Dark Guardians in DSK2 Kill Pets while on hold

I kill Xeru once a day...he must be happy to see me!

I've checked this several times. My Pet is on hold, confirms this saying waiting my orders to attack.

I target my pet to make sure he has nothing in his target window...and indeed he has nothing as I run up the curving staircase to Xeru but, he's losing his hitpoints with nothing in his target window. When I FD he gets creamed, every time. Sometimes I watch him die from my FD position and the Dark Guardians are pouncing on him and he's not fighting back.

So something is killing him, pretty certain it is dark guardians as nothing is in his target windows till I start the ascent.

Not a biggy but thought I'd report it.

That just happened to me too. I only had the mage pet on hold the Djinn pets do what ever. The mage pet died and was never ordered to do anything. I just ran to the top made new pet and smacked Xeru anyway.
