Taking a look at procs tonight. 1st thing i notice is the effect on the donor legs has taken a huge hit. Before i would do around 15k and crit heal for something like 20k+ or so. Right now its doing 3950 dmg and only crit healing for 7900 (using moon curse to gain crit heal powers). right now im testing with the basic short swords from the vendor and the only proc im firing is Strike of Vengeance.

This is all just concerning Strike of vengeance for now. Will test other procs next when i get more time.

I removed Gladiator Rk. 3 and the damage did not change, so Gladiator is having no effect on it.
Slayer's Destiny rk 3 is having NO effect on the proc dmg. However Spirit of Vesagarn (epic 2.0) does have an effect. Not sure why one is working and the other isnt.
fearune 3 (and 2 as well) are having no change on the proc dmg.
Chromatic Arc has no effect on it either. Dark Thunder also has no effect.

This spell used to be resist type (Magic -500) but it is now marked as unresistable.

The other donor proc from the dps aug is also 1k base dmg, but it just a nuke not a lifetap, and i know it has always been marked as resist type (unresistable). Before the big update, it would act just like Strike of V is acting now, would get almost no foci boosts but still got some boosts, maybe from bard songs or the magic dmg boost from Vengeance of the Forsaken buff and/or gladiator. Ii found an old PM between Lillu and I where I pointed out Vengeance is doing less full dmg than Strike of Vengeance and it being due to the difference in resist types and Lillu said it was intended which is fine since Vengeance couldnt be resisted and Strike of V could.

Ready for some extra confusion?!? Now Vengeance is doing the correct 15k dmg that Strike of V used to do. But they are both marked as resist type unresistable. So why is one working and the other not?

All the time I have to test tonight. Tomorrow I'll take a look at some of the other procs and see if they are getting all the dmg boosts they should be getting.

Specifics like that are perfect! That helps us narrow down where we need to look for issues with dps.
Oh the fun you all are going to have in DSK3...

Was able to find a few issues based on your feedback Sticky:

o Critical Spell Damage boosts will now stack together again.
o Min Dmg V2 has been added back into the code for item/spell bonuses.
o Unresistable spells (resist type 0) should now get boost from focus effects again.

Trying to dig deeper:

Strike of the Knight proc doesn't appear to be affected by focus item. I have a 70% focus from a "Stone of Thunder" aug. Allaclone says Strike of the Knight is -350 resist adjust against magic.

I remember before the big update that this proc was well over 700 when I had a lower level focus effect. I think it should be hitting for 765 or so now?

Looks like Shroud of Discord is also unaffected by focus

I wasnt able to do any testing tonight, but based on what you said about the two Sk spells and from what I was seeing with Strike of vengeance, it would appear that procs that fire via buffs and not weapon procs are not getting focused. I will test this if I have time today and if not when i get back to work tonight. I plan on testing other buff procs such as the Aura of the Mighty proc and Spirit of the Lion and etc.

I haven't moved my SK from in front of the test dummy over the course of the last test and tonight's test.

Whatever changes went in on July 23 have resulted in a reduction in DPS on my SK.

Pre July 23 update: 650ish DPS
Post July 23 update: 500ish DPS

These both varied up and down about 10 %. I tested 10 times on a 1 minute test on the T1 dummy.

I know you would like specifics, but this is all I can see tangibly. Beyond the focus items not effecting spell applied weapon procs I can't tell what else may be going on in the background.

Humpty Dumpy

My problem with re-recreation of damages, heals and foci from before the code is that I didn't save eqlogs to pick through exactly was happening previously so difficult to put back together exactly what was before...hence the Humpty Dumpty analogy.

One idea that does occur to me is to reverse the test server...namely make it with the old code...I assume there may be a back up copy. In that way we could reverse test things... Put an SK on dummy 1 for 5 min in test server and the same on current server and compare side by side the logs.

Just a thought, I don't know how much effort this would be on the part of the developers --- but it would permit all the Kings Horses and all the Kings Men to put Humpty Dumpty back together again... :D

Been running some test with the bard and SK and this seems to be the case. Tested Strike of Vengeance proc (9754) and also the proc from the buff Shroud of Discord, Spirit of Irionu Strike (6101) and they are not being effect by worn spell focus or bard songs. Spirit of Irionu Strike is doing the base 500 dmg with or without worn focus and bard songs have no effect on it.

Valik event reset at 9% back to testing some stuff

Testing some more buff type procs, Mana Inferno and Aura of the Bloodmage.

Both mana Inferno strike (9262) and Bloodmage Strke (9097) are getting boost by bard songs.
Bloodmage Strike does get the worn foci boost from chromatic arc.
Mana Inferno strike is not getting any worn foci boost from chromatic arc, also tested dark thunder and no change there.

Tested Aura of the Mighty with basic short swords (no procs) and no other buffs. Aura of the Mighty is not procing Mighty One Tap (9090) AT ALL! Its normally a 50% proc rate so there is a good chunk of missing dps and healing power via lifetaps.

Just wanted to make sure these issues have not been forgotten and are on the list.

Aura of the Mighty not procing Tap of the Mighty One (9090)

Procs that fire from buffs are not getting focus effects, such as...
Strike of Vengeance (9754)
Spirit of Irionu Strike (6101)
Mana Inferno strike (9262)
Bloodmage Strike (9097)

Both mana Inferno strike (9262) and Bloodmage Strke (9097) are getting boost by bard songs, but the others are not.

I dont have any data on Spirit of the Lion proc Lion Maw III (9210) or shm epic 2.0 proc Epic Power (8457) but I'm guessing they suffer the same fate.
