Slow motion graphic lag

Not sure if this is the right spot for this but...

For the past two days I have some very wierd slow motion graphic lag. The only thing that changed was I updated the spell file. When running in 90% of zones if I use 3rd person view I can actually see my chars running in slow motion. In mele the arms swing in slow motion and the damage text comes in spurts.

Nothing has changed on the machine I am using and I only have two chars logged in.
machine specs aren't awesome but everything was fine a few days ago.

Sporadically I will run at proper speed but this is mostly in small zones like the forest etc.
I have turned off all the new models, mip mapping set textures to medium etc but nothing seems to help. Ping time is 155ms with no packetloss which seems higher than normal but should still be playable.
When I do go back to running normally the ping time is still 155ms.

If this isn't the right place to post let me know.

This happened to me lots last night. Even asked some of the guild and they didn't seem to have the same issue. so thought it was charter on my side.

Hmm, that sounds really weird. One thing for sure though, it's not spell file related.
Did you try to change UI/display settings, etc? Might be too obvious also, but rebooting your PC might help in some case.

I have rebooted but I didn't change the screen resolution. I will try that out on Tuesday when I am back in the office. I'm going to bring a copy of the underfoot client and see if that makes any difference it is currently running Titanium.

Do you use MQ? Innerspace? Does your computer use SLI?

I dont use MQ2 or innerspace and no sli.
I am playing on a Thinkpad t61 Nvidia Quatro NVS 140M and 2 GB of ram.
Not the best machine around but it should be able to run eq with no issues.

I think there may be some help towards the end of this thread.

I had a month old copy of the eq directory on a usb key. I backed it up then patched to current and the issue seems to be resolved.

I'm still not sure what was causing it but it works now.
