Some item cast times do not trigger recovery time

I noticed that some item spells (donor and dropped) do not trigger recovery times. Intentional or not, I thought it was interesting. If they weren't meant to be that way, then it's any spell with a recovery time of 0.0 that is the culprit. Otherwise neato, no change needed~

viewtopic.php?f=10&t=10270I actually isolated this a long time ago. It has to deal with the actual cast time of the spell. I have it written down in my notes, but from what I remember off the top of my head, if the casting time was > 0 then it would never show the grey box. I know there was something else that played into it as well since I could not make adjustment fixes for them, but it's a known issue that I have written down to someday (TM) fix.
Find it interesting that the 0.5/1.0 one you linked shows a recovery time though must be the something else that vaion mentioned.
webtools/items.php?id=17851 shouldn't show a recovery though since it has no recast time listed.

I think we're on different pages Nexor. I'm addressing how nearly all spells trigger a 'recovery time' where all the spell gems are darkened and unusable, while a small, select few do not. Some other RPG games call it the 'global cool down' (GCD) if that rings a bell.
It sounds like you're talking specifically about 'recast time' and item icons being greyed out?
Perhaps a year ago the GCD was addressed on this server because the Titanium client didn't trigger a GCD when instant spells/items were used. It made a distinct advantage for that client to rapidly cast some spells over what the other clients could do. The GCD was then established server-side (iirc) so that no client has an advantage over another, but it appears a few items do not trigger the GCD, because their recovery time is set to 0.0. You immediately cast something after using these items where all other items cause a cool down of 2.25 seconds.

Well ya sorry i thought u mean the recast time of specific items.
