The Hidden Forest

I think the drop rates on these items should be revisited. I know the quest isn't too hard for what you get, but this server in general seems to be anti-time sink. But as it stands now, I'm trying to get a number of pieces while i progress but the symbols are rotting, the armor pieces from NTOV are rotting, and yet I could use a lot of drake orbs.

Most of it I'm not going to ever get simply because the glowing stuff from my 3 trips to stillmoon are pretty much the same.

I'm not complaining to be sure. I just think it's worth considering. Thank you.

I think it's one of those "If you need it, it won't drop" deals. Was gearing up a monk the other day and doing the charm quest, after clearing w/ntov, I moved east. I think I saw 8-9 orbs drop. However, when I first cleared etov for my armor long ago, I'd get 2, maybe 3 per clear.

imo they could be increased. This was always the bottle neck that i remember. Just as he says, patterns drop often enough and symbols are easy to get since they always drop off the certain names in east, but getting the drake orbs is too far and few between.

FWIW, just cleared the east wing again and got 2 orbs. it's unfortunate in the sense that I feel like I will "work" to get these items but they will be replaced by more common/easy drops in very short fashion. I dont know what T3 brings, but i imagine things scale up...

When I needed / wanted the armor I would average 3 a clear. Some times get 0, sometimes get 8 but the average over all the clears was 3.
Not to bad on paper until you look at the time investment for on tier players to armor up an entire group.

Granted things have changed in that there are other zones now that provide armor near to or better then tov for less work. If I did it again today, I would only get bp/leg depending on class and skip the rest of the slots from tov for other zones.

Still its a pretty fun part of the zone to destroy. Minus drop rate I enjoyed east wing.

yes indeed... my perspective is of one who is grouping up a legitimate raid party at the appropriate time. i mean... its not even like the respawn is very fast on the trash there.
