Double Loot

I don't know how it is calculated, but if its double loot, does that mean if an item or item pool has a 100% chance to drop off a mob, shouldn't there be two of that item or two from that item pool?

For example I killed Venril Sathir in KC and the following dropped:

Chaotic Short Sword of the Ykesha
Chaotic Coins (1)
Rusty Chaotic Breastplate

In theory, there should be a minimum of two coins since 1 is a 100% drop rate
also there are 3 items in the pool that has the Chaotic Short Sword with a 100% drop rate, so shouldn't there be two items from that pool on the corps?

I don't know how its calculated, so could I get some clarity on it.

Vaion said in this thread http://www.thehiddenforest.org/forum/viewtopic.php?f=126&t=12744 that it's not double the amount of loot, just double the chance for something to drop. So rare items will drop a lot more.
