The Hidden Forest

Hi all, having the most peculiar issue...

Playing Procursus a Drakkin Wizard (on Underfoot) and I was medding next to Sune in the guild hall, when I stood up I was stuck to the floor. I can move the camera and rotate left and right but cannot move forward, backward, or jump. I used another toon to CoH him out of the pool and he was able to move for a minute then became glued to the floor again. I ported to Shadowed Grove and was stuck there. I adjusted my UI Layout and then switched my key settings to default and he moved. I went back to the guild hall and was stuck again. I ported to the Vale, stuck, then Shadowed Grove again... stuck. Used the stuck character mover and again he was stuck just in a different location. Fooled with the GUI settings again and reset the keys, nothing. Stuck. I'm not in the geometry or like in the wall but more like glued to the surface of the floor. Unsure what is causing it. I then logged in to a second instance of EQ on a different HD... Stuck.

Curious if anyone else ever had a similar experience.

Any ideas?

We had this kind of bug on the test server During The merge, which was corrected by vaion.

Is of course than your installation is perfect.

trying to tell us if it happens on a given class during a cast ...
if your installation is new, how they have been achieved, olso.
Because underfoot is pretty crappy in terms of file merge.

To my mind on the subject, it is urgent to stop using the old version and the staff forced to use a live version.

Odd. Resetting keys worked the first time but not the next? I know that occasionally when I log in all my keys will be reset, but have never had it happen while actually playing. Closing the client entirely out and back in also knocks my keys back to normal. Hmm. Molasses in the GH hottub?

You have one of the game's .ini files open in notepad++ while playing? Operating system and location on drive where you have your EQ installed? I always throw my emu folder(s) to desktop, because windows gets awfully stupid about protecting files in certain folders even though I'm set as admin and have removed all UAC controls.

After a correct EQ configuration its important to put in read only the eqclient.ini.
Only unlock them if you need to make some modification.
There are several scenarios that may corrupt the file.

Hey Rude, thanks for the response.

I am on Windows 10. I have both installs in the root of the C and E drives - like C:/Everquest (main full graphics/sound enabled) and E:/Everquest (box instance, low graphics/no sound), also I have UAC completely disabled (via regedit) and rely solely on my security system (BitDefender Internet Security 2016) which I have faith in. No ini's open.

Is more like super glue than molasses. lol

Hey Moguay, thanks for the response...

You know, I was using the manastone (cannibalize effect) when it happened. Just a random fact there.

Also, I have since tried:

Sit/Stand (since the parser causes you to feign and sometimes doesn't actually knock you down)
Cycled through chat windows pressing "Enter"
Clicked mouse around

Going to try another suggestion now, /duel and kill him.

That worked... Ironically, I slayed the demon possessed Procursus and raised him from the dead and he was reborn! He is no longer lame...
