The Hidden Forest

Moved one EQ installation to new drive after a bit of a meltdown and have a new symptom that keeps me from logging in.

1. I run THF patcher and click on play and last station name comes up but Quick Connect is Grayed-Out like this:



2. Next screen that pops up Play is grayed-out like this



3. I play on UF client and my eqhosts.txt looks like this:

[LoginServer]
Host=login.thehiddenforest.org:5999

4. firewall is set to allow the patcher and eqgame.exe through it.

5. Any ideas????

Have you logged in "manually" once before by clicking on the servers and play? I know from a first initial launch you have to make the selections, then the next time you log in it should have the options for quick connect. This will be required even with moving game files.

I have tried that....

I thought it might be in the eqlsplayer.... files but no luck there. Eqhosts is good. I looked at everything and couldn't find a problem....wanted to know wtf was going on. Finally punted and copied everything under a month old from a back up and that cured it.

Would still like to know what it was...pretty annoying.
