The Hidden Forest

I've recently started playing on THF and like it a lot. I have been using the private server (Host=login.thehiddenforest.org:5998 with the Titanium) for a few days and have a couple characters.

Last night the world server was acting strange so I quit. Now I can't login... when I try to connect via private LS nothing happens. It sits on the 'logging into server' screen and doesn't transmit any data.

In attempt to fix the issue I switched to the EMU LS (Host=eqemulator.net:5998) and can login to THF that way but none of my existing characters are there. I created a new character, entered the world, and used the #setlsinfo command with my existing THF data but it doesn't link the accounts.

So two questions. (1) Is anyone else having trouble with the private ls? and (2) Since the EMU login works for me can I link my existing characters to it?

Nevermind... I finally got logged into the private LS and discovered the #setlsinfo had linked the empty account overtop the existing one. I just deleted all my characters... *cry*

That will teach me to leap before I look. At least none of them were over lvl 40.

What most probably happened is that you used the same login name and password for the newly created eqemu accounts that you used for the THF registrations.

Try this:

1. Log into THF via EQEMU LS.
2. Use #setlsinfo to change your pw
3- Log in via THF private LS but use your old password (the one you set when created THF accounts)

This way you sould be able to use your old THF and new EQEMU accounts too.

It would be long and complex to explain the background, but you basically did what we thought would never happen
