Problems connecting

I cant access the website, but if i go though a proxy I can.

I have not been able to connect to the server either, though I can connect to all other servers np.

Any suggestions? (firewall and anti-virus disabled, no help either)

It sounds like you have a bad DNS cache client side, or some weird network setup. I don't know what OS you are using or how your network setup looks like, but what you can do is delete your dns cache.
run this command in command prompt (cmd): ipconfig /flushdns
Other than that, we'll need lot more details about your client to help you debug.

You hit it right on the nail ... flushdns solved it. I am running Win7 Ultimate on a domain all systems through a firewall appliance (SonicWall). DNS resolution is internal though a Windows 2003 Standard Server.

I had just done a flushdns and was able to read the forums and see your solution. Thanks a lot.

I have to add that after 2 straight hours of crashing every single account every time I zoned, I did a ipconfig /flushdns and didn't a crash a single time later. May have been coincidental, but Grubb did the same and had the same result. We spent 2 hours trying to gather up and raid, literally before I tried an ipconfig /flushdns cmd and we went on to destroy pofear without another single issue.

How much does it cost to get a static IP? I might pay for it :)

Having a static IP would not solve an issue of corrupt DNS cache.

So i assume you started with 2 problems?

1. Wasn't able to access the website and forum? which seem to be solved?

2. Unable to log into the server ? which is still a problem ?

To number 2 it could be several problems but for that would need to know with which client you try to connect and how your eqhost file looks like.
