Earning Raid Experience

To preface, a lot of people I have talked to have said, in effect, "forget about earning raid experience, it has never worked properly". That's an acceptable answer. However, I wanted to see if anyone had any input to offer regarding their success/procedure.
In recent weeks we have been earning raid experience every single raid and I have been able to amass some raid leader aa when there is 18 in raid. We have HoTT, and are interested in getting others.
The last few raids certain people are earning raid experience, and others are not. It doesn't seem to be isolated to one group. It's not as some have suggested, that the group doing the most damage is winning all the experience. Those earning experience can be moved around the raid and still earn, those who aren't can be moved to a group of others earning, and still don't earn. It doesn't seem to be isolated to one client, either.
My personal feeling is that lately more have been using bots and perhaps are coming to raid with bugged groups.
Any ideas?
On a possible related note I always have to make someone else raid leader for my raid leader AA to show as useabe to the members on the raid.
Wonky...

Id love to hear that the raid group issues are on the list. I have been switching bots in my group of my characterss, and leaders to use buff bots out in the field, and am just getting used to regrouping before fighting commences on bigger mobs. Pretty sure this bot/grouping/bugging issue will have to hammered out also. Since we are able to box as many as we can handle, and since my group of 70's running is at 5, and 6-7 are being skilled aas now(with about 4 others i wont use due to dps needs, and tank needs fullfilled), I'd love to see the raid bugs with bots ironed out one day. Not just for that reason, but when the guild gets t6ogether, it would be really advantageous to actually have our fearless leader able to acumulate raid leader points/skills, etc etc
Honestly, it really looks like bots and group bugs could very well be the culprate. Zolz's 2pp

Some of our raid members earn exp and some do not. It seem to happen no matter what they have done prior -- no bots, nothing, clean computer reboot, etc. It doesn't seem to be connected to anything specific - some toons get exp and some do not, no matter what group they are or if they are part of the "killing" group or not.
We have tried everything from complete redone of the raid to re-log etc and nothing seems to fix it.
I am lost on this one

I can attest to the wonkyness of the raid experience system. My cleric Rexxer always gains exp, and yet my ranger Rexed never does. They are always in the same group, logged in seperately and in different order, same client ect. It just makes no sense. Raid experience isn't huge by any means, but it does offset the deaths that the ranger has, well, constantly.
Again i'm not really complaining, since it takes all of 2 kills to gain the same experience amount that I would have gained during an entire raid. Just wanted to point out thaT there are indeed flukes in the system.

I wonder if it's class related, because my ranger also doesn't get raid xp.

Not sure if this info helps contribute but I always get raid exp. Doesn't matter if im the leader, or if im just a member, or what group im in, or if im with a bot. None of these variables or any previously mentioned have any effect, I always get raid exp. My class is a druid.

pretty much the same situation for me, i always seem to get raid xp no matter what lol. I always just attribute this to the bugginess of raids in general on the EMUs.
Also as a bit of advice for those up-and-coming raiders - i really would reccomend using raids ONLY as necessary (trying to get 2.0 credit for quest etc). Generally speaking raids are just a convience issue for me or my loot officer as we dont have to wait the 2.5 minutes for the corpse to unlock to get loot finished. But that said, i really really reccomend taking advantage of bots in groups on raids, early on bots arent well geared sure, but an extra healer (no matter how stupid) never hurts as far as cleric bot is concerened, or a shammy bot when u dotn have any shammy buffs at all is also always anice addition.
Id stay away from raids in general to avoid the inherint bugginess of them, and stick with individual groups - my 2 cents 8)
