Program lockup

I have been experiencing some weird issues lately with character lockups.

I will have multiple instances of the game loaded, and one screen will completely lockup. That is, the character is still in the game, they are still interacting with the server, they are still attacking and being attacked by. This is all similar to how a link-dead player reacts until the character has fully disconnected. That instance of the game can still type in chat, read new chat, see mobs pathing by, etc. However, on a second (or third) instance of the game, the character can still cast spells, interact with NPCs (buy, sell, bank), and do all the things a normal character can.

So, the problems are such:

1) The first instance of the game cannot be interacted with until the game is restarted or the character zones (and this is usually a result of dying).
2) There is no connection between how many instances of the game I have running and how often this occurs, as it has happened most frequently while dual- or tri-boxing, but also while I am playing a single account, or four accounts.
3) I have run speed tests while having these issues, and I have the same connectivity during the lockups as I do during normal play.
4) I can still surf the web, stream music, and have Vent active during the lockups. I can also type and read chat logs during the lockups, but it is generally only the character itself, the spells and abilities of that character, and the mob that character is interacting with.
5) This problem occurs everywhere in the game. Some places, off the top of my head, are the guild hall, Kael, and Western Wastes.
6) This problem occurs with many different iterations of character and accounts, so it is not one combination of accounts or characters.

I've experienced the same issue. Going full screen and back to window (alt+enter) fixes the lockup. Not sure what's causing it, seems totally random and only happened to T client so far. Might be a result of a 3rd party program..

I will give that a go this evening.

The background programs are Ventrilo (I can get version information later, but I have not updated it in a few months, so it should not have changed anything), Internet Explorer 8 (multiple tabs open, if that is a possible reason), and Sticky Notes (the Windows 7 sticky note widget).

Thanks for the quick response, and I will report my findings.
