New Server Reboot System

The Servers will reboot on a daily basis at the following time:
EST - 7:00AM
PST - 4:00AM
GMT - 12:00PM

Western Australia - 8:00PM

I understand, but cant help expressing a little frustration from those of us on the other side of the world. Players in China, Japan, Australia, ect. must now find a safe place to log out at peak play time every night. I played previously on EZ, who reboots each night at 6:00pm where I live, and can say from experience that a daily reboot takes all the wind out of my sail. 3 minutes may not sound like a lot, but if your running a box set (and most of us on off peak times need to) by the time you've found a safe place to camp, gotten out and back in, set your group up and are ready to roll, 30 minutes is lost. It is the reason I migrated to THF.

Can we have a weekly reboot, or even an every other day reboot? I know that we can't change the time, but is daily necessary?

We understand the frustration of the server reboots. The reason that we need to reboot daily is due to some issues that we have been experiencing with world and zone crashes lately. While the team is constantly working to track down the issues and fix them, we cannot be around to monitor the server 24/7. The new system allows us the ability to let the server run on autopilot when we cannot be around to monitor and reboot it as necessary.

The time that the server auto-reboots is just how it is set right now. We can and may adjust it as necessary after a few days of the system running depending on how it affects the community as a whole.

As always, we appreciate everyone's input and thoughts. All we ask is that you guys give us the opportunity and be patient while we make the server a better place for everyone.

Some more info on the decision:
We basically had a reboot daily until now, but it was at random times, so if anything changed at all is that it's now on a set timer and everyone can plan with it.

Regardless, we tried to pick the best possible time (off-peak time). Here is a recent 30 days statistics of our forum visits which pretty much reflects our player base. I belive the numbers tells it all. Click the image for a better view.

Thank you for the replies and thank you for the sincere consideration. It's very nice to have mods who can empathize. I didn't realize that we were having daily reboots, they must happen during peak times while I'm asleep

I will work with the fixed server reset, and can't complain about the time because it is undoubtedly the best time for the overall community.
