SoD Steam Client & mis-modelled NPCs

I've recently gotten a client upgrade from Titanium to the Seeds of Destruction client from Steam. While it normally works frickin' great for everything, I am having a few minor issues that I think are due to the global load file, or maybe just the client itself. Here they are.

Due to the large size of screenshots, I've not posted them with IMG tags, instead using direct links.

Character Select
All races seem to work fine, including the new Drakkin race. Except that the Male Drakkin is elevated about four feet off the ground, is rigidly spread-eagled, and rotated 90 degrees to his right. This occurs in-game too.

Death's Entombment
This t8 Necromancer spell places the illusion of a Ghoul over you. While it does so properly in Titanium, it doesn't in this client - you become a default human instead. You still make ghoul noises though.

Fennin Ro Dummy
He appears in the form of a default human as well.

Paludal
The Fallen Adventurer is supposed to be a ghost that roams the zone. However, he appears as an ordinary human. Missing his model, perhaps?

In addition, I can see invisible NPCs named "a rain of spores" in the zone. These NPCs didn't show up in Titanium - I suspect they're supposed to be totally invisible to the player, and just there to produce visual effects in the zone. I can, for whatever reason, attack them, and they can attack back, but they're invulnerable and can't be killed.

North Ro
A Giant Rattlesnake shows up as a default human. I'm guessing it's missing its model, too?

As is a dune spiderling.

None of these problems really affect the game in any mechanical way, except maybe the male Drakkin issue. All of the NPCs and such still function, even though they're stuck with default models.

Did you update your client with the THF installer?

Of course, and I made sure to use the proper installer for my client as well: the THF/SoD/HoT installer from this thread.

Then must be an issue with the latest globalload. We'll check it out.

Alright. In the meantime, just to make sure, I'm going to redownload the installer and run it again. I'm gonna make dead-certain there's no hiccups and all the files are where they should be, and that there isn't any possibility of user error here.

EDIT: Used the latest installer & spell file on a fresh copy of the client without a hitch. Same problems persist.

Might want to try this:

Huh, welp! Guess it was a good thing I saved that Titanium install... except it doesn't have the Drakkin animations.

Fortunately, EQLive exists, so I can DL that, and then nab the files for my SoD installation. That's going to be a while though. Keep watching this space for an edit once I'm done and have a chance to test the results.

Okay, using both Titanium and the Live client, I've fixed my Steam SoD client according to the instructions in that link. I'm still getting just a few problems, plus one new one that's cropped up with the fixed client.

Fixed
  • Male Drakkin now animate correctly
  • The Fallen Adventurer in Paludal is now a ghost again
  • Fennin Ro Dummy is back to his demonic self
  • Death Entombment now properly turns me into a ghoul
  • The spiders and snakes of North Ro are back to being what they should be

Not Fixed
  • "a rain of spores" NPCs still show up in Paludal, although they should be totally invisible.

New Problems
  • When training skills at my class master, he doesn't correctly show level requirements, although he does correctly refuse training if I do not meet them.
