The Hidden Forest

I am able to log in like normal, sign in and it starts to load. It looks like it loads 100%, but just before I would see my char to select it, the game crashes and go back to desktop. I have been gone on vacation for 2 weeks. I see that there was a new spell file, so I downloaded and installed that. My laptop was not used since I went on vacation and so nothing was changed. It worked fine 2 weeks ago.
Has anything new changed, I didn't see anything on the forums? Any ideas?

try going into your everquest folder and move two files to somewhere safe (desktop or some other folder)
eqclient.ini
ui_charactername_hiddenforest.ini
then launch the game, it should recreate those two files and you should be in with default settings/ui.

Thanks for trying, but that didn't work. If I can't figure it out by tomorrow, I will just re-install from scratch.

I tried to put in installation disks in and repairing EQ. Went through that, installed THF installer, maps, and spell files. Verified that my shortcut was still good.
Then logged in like normal. Everything worked until it goes to load the characters, then kicked me back to the desktop just like before.

Under the logs folder there should be a dbg.txt you can look at it in wordpad or notepad and see what the error is

Nilbus, thanks for your help. I just totally uninstalled it and reinstalled it from scratch and it is working now. Take care.
