Is there any text that is generated when a Bard misses a note?

hehe, its been a while since missed notes, but iirc it is "You miss a note, bringing your song to a close"

I did the internal Metronome AA, does anything else help?

do you have all ranks of it? after about 2/5 i stopped missing a ton, and at 5/5 i rarely miss, but there is no way to reduce it to 0% chance to miss.

Other than the AA, and max singing/insturment skills, no there is no other way that I know of to stop missing notes.

If your using titanium a missed note will stop your /meldoy, but i think with SoD+ clients even if you miss a note the /melody keeps going and just goes to the next song in line.

Here's an easy way to level your skills. If you play only one song(don't use melody) you will earn skill increases but never stop singing that song even if you miss notes. Once you're at max skill and/or have internal metronome at some level you'll never miss notes even with songs in /melody.

What is max skill 200? or is it higher?

Higher. Its 310 on my bard Twilering. Use #myskills to look at your skills or check out your magelo.

Make sure that you've also trained your bard skills by way of the mushroom man in the forest. Was a huge help for my bard.

Like sticky mentioned, there are instrument mastery / singing mastery AA's that raise your cap, which increases your skill cap for those instruments (there are a lot of mastery AA's). There is an NPC in the forest who will set your skills to 200.

Also, can anyone confirm if heroic dexterity helps? On live, dexterity effected a bards tendency to successfully play their instruments.

It seems to be improving, over 80 aa now. Adding AA that will improve skills slowly. My controls for bard are still very basic, I will have to eventually figure out what to do with him.

Already done:

1. 2.0 quests done
2. VP/DSK and DSK2 flags done
3. Access to better gear - in process
4. Have most Tier I T8 songs

Goals:

1. Double check which songs I am missing and get.
2. More AA
3. HOH Flag
4. Raid Auras
5. Augs

Bard donator - what is the best one?

I am still using the bard as an enhancement aid mostly. To close to the targets the bard goes squish. At this point the bard is much more useful then the wizard, the songs rock. The other day I actually used one of the mez songs during the Red Fang event.

Does any have other suggestions? I know I should be using more then just 4 songs, but that is all I have been doing till now.
