New Project illusion not lasting through zoning and camping

I know this was in the server patch notes. This is my feedback though:

The enchanter is by far the least played class on THF. They get an aa that takes 150 points to get called permanent illusion. Now it only functions on the enchanter itself. It can't be projected...That just plain stinks!

It was a small thing I enjoyed very much and it keeps my interest as the illusions are actually fun. They do not give any practical advantage over game content and now it is taken away.

I just think there were a bunch of enchanter class issues that could have been evaluated and the one thing that I find fun with the enchanter was removed?

I love mana inferno, Overbearing Power, and Euphoric Spasm... I like that spell that gives double cast chance too. Other than that, he is a tag along... has a dd and dot a rotate as well. Never got into the illusions or the charms... The insight of the seer is pretty good too.

This does raise a good question is the feedback on this item based on Project or Permanent Illlusion? Patch notes to say:
Project Illusion will no longer allow players to keep their illusions after zoning and camping.


I played an Enchanter on live and that is how Project Illusion illusion worked there. If you don't have the AA to support the illusion then it should poof. All classes can obtain illusions through clickies but there are only three that have permanent available (ENC, ROG, BRD).

The AA description on Permanent Illusion is "This ability allows you to zone with out losing your current illusion." I just tested it on my Rogue and his illusion now poofs when he zones. Tried multiple illusions and zones. If this was in fact the change it renders this AA totally useless as the illusion is not really permanent since there is a base timer of 36 min on all masks longer depending on what focus you have.

I loved being able to gnome everyone with my enchanter and have it stay after zoning.

Permanent illusion did not change and should still work properly. The change made project illusion not allow group members to maintain the casted illusion after they zone.

Permanent illusion should still allow you to keep any illusion after zoning and also it should increase the timer on illusions cast on yourself to 24 hours.

Just tested it with Underfoot and Titnanium, both clients with the current spell files/installers and permnant illusion is no longer working for rogues.

If it is intended to be this way, it's worthless, especially for 150 AA points. That's a ton of AA points for something that is mostly useless. It's weird for it to require the enchanter to get the permanent illusion AA and then this expensive AA not reinforce the "permanent" idea. I'd rather keep my AA's. The enchanter's dps does not compare to others, its buffs last less time than other classes and the one thing it could do over other classes has been significantly nerfed....sad day for enchanters.

I disagree with you that it's a sad day for enchanters, I think that's taking it to far. it's pretty much a useless AA regardless of weather or not it lasts through zoning or not. it's purely aesthetic, this isn't a buff or dps nerf. the only time I've ever found it to be useful is during the Halloween trick or treat event.
