Velious armor textures and custom helms

I always loved these unique armor textures, I was wondering if there was anyway to get them back? I dont know if there is something the GMs could do for us to have them back.

I personally run old school models on my client and would love to have the look and feel of the old school velious armors.

Thurg/Kael/SS had one texture, and pogrowth had another texture.

It would be nice if it was possible, and maybe make T6/T8 armor use them. Maybe put in an npc that will give you a custom helmet, for a price, that way we could have the custom graphic if we wanted it. Maybe make it a vendor that sells a token that you have to turn in with the helm you want to be customized.

Just a thought I had.

Check out Orin in the hidden vale... The gear from those events use the velious textures.


The second set of zones for those events are nearly done btw, they just got put on hold for some higher priority tasks.

I'm not sure if this is what you're talking about, but if you go into eqclient-YOURNAME.ini for each toon and look for:

LoadArmor17=TRUE
LoadArmor18=TRUE
LoadArmor19=TRUE
LoadArmor20=TRUE
LoadArmor21=TRUE
LoadArmor22=TRUE
LoadArmor23=TRUE

and change them all to TRUE, you can see velious graphics on armor.


For example, Melkor's armor look like this on my screen.

I got it working, went to eqclient file, and changed one line to this
AllLuclinPcModelsOff=TRUE

then the armor ones as Melkor said. Just logged on and Velious armor graphics are on. My question though is how to make the helm graphic show, I have in options that helm should show but its not, any ideas?? the helms were the best part of the Velious armor

I believe that's something the GMs are in control of. Some helms have graphics, some do not. Mine has one, but I keep it turned off. The donor helm has the cool graphic on it, but I do not own it.

I was hoping it was something i could fix. Its a bit anoying looking at my euridite cleric with her blue armor scheme and white hood up all the time

Melk is right a bout turning the Velious armor on from the eqini file.

The armor with Velious graphic are LDON / T6 from Veeshan / all T8 armor.

About the custom helm , the helms from Kael and the Donor Helm have this look.

does underfoot not handle options with eqclient.ini files? I can't find any in my folder.

I simply couldn't go back to titanium now... so hopefully there is a way to sort this out on Underfoot.

Im preety sure it works on UF. I couldnt find the file either, so i just typed eqclient in a search and it came up.

If you're using win7 and EQ is installed in program files, it's probably in Users\userid\AppData\Local\VirtualStore instead of in the actual program files folder. yay enhanced security or something...
