hoh raid mobs

Hello,
The new game in hoh is to try to find a named up. I know that repop has already been reduced but most of those mobs are boxed by one player and it s a hell to find something up A lot of players are able to kill them. Sometimes you want to spend an afternoon playing eq but you can't because everything is down remember old days on classic servers...
Do you think that you could lower the timer on nameds to 2-3h or guild inbstance them?
Could you also think about lowering timers on nadox/dsk nameds?

I'd like to see all the instanced zones reduced to 20 hours. This would allow guilds to raid each night on them without the times slowly creeping towards daylight hours

I can't comment on HOH as I havent flagged all my toons yet, and until I finish flagging all my toons I probably won't be up there, I dont leave a toon behind!
I prefer instanced zones anyway, as then there is only 1 idiot in the zone!

bish, zone all your flagged toons into hoh , group up and kill 1 mob , then hail one of the npc and get a free evolving aug ( something like 50 ac 300 hp type 8 16 17 18 )
As for hoh nameds, when hoh opened the named couldn't be boxed so you had great chances to find at least 1 up , now it's all different , even I , the most sucky boxer around can box some of them.
Maybe the GMs ( and I'm not talking about Tyler of micah ) could take a look on this

I got that aug on 6 toons, dont have to kill a mob for it. Just hailed all the quest NPC's at the start when I got the flag, I was nosy

It will evolve as you kill mobs and ends up being an ac 100 hp 500 aug

Can only say +1 to what Shannix said but gods know my opinion already on that

Aug evolves with points it gets there with 30k banked hoh points if u drop below the aug drops below etc
Must agree with Firenze when this zone first came out it was a lot harder then it is now, I think every event in here was tuned down except chaos at least once (prolly more) and back then they were raid targets not solo event's though stil a fight to catch em hehe
I for one like this zone being a fight on catching raid boss's and am sure it and pofire will prolly be the only ones do to all the negative feedback lol But keep in mind if it was instanced you would log in sweep nadox/hoh and be done for the day with not much else to do for 24 hrs
Don't think lowering there timers is good though for they are already good imo at 4-8 however I wouldn't mind seeing them tuned back up a bit to what they all used to be
In the same aspect I'm sure this will all pass when T9 comes out so imho leave hoh as it is (even though I'm +1 for making it harder lol) and focus on new content so that this does pass

For what its worth I vote it goes unchanged. We have had the same conversation about raid aura. Give it time you will get them all. These are in farm mode so there is competition. Heck might want to ask the solo boxers if you could join them. Make new friends. Beatboxin and Kiel let me join in on a chaos kill and are some good folk.

Raid aura is once per character, some players are killing hoh nameds almost everyday for months...I don't blame them, i'm also often killing them, but it's overcamped and i don't think it's fun or even usefull on this server.
I play on thf for the fun otherwise i would play original eq and med 5 min after each mob with the spell book in front of me( don't think someone remember that)

I remember that. The first thing it comes into my mind is south karana. Me as a mid level wizard camping Gnoll spires near Paw zone. Countless times got beaten by a lion cause the entire screen was occupied with the damn book. Or the time when you hear large stomps and broke med thinking it was a cyclops, only to see that it was just an elephant.

The biggest issue here is that t8 has been out for well over a year now. There's not much else for people who have beaten it when the content was new to do besides continue to kill the bosses. And since it's been out for so long, more and more guilds are coming in and making the competition even worse. I personally enjoy the competition, we struggle to find mobs to hit and take what we can. I don't think there's been a day in at least three months that we've found every mob up in HoH. But that makes it fun.
Like Beatboxin said, once tier 9 comes out, the bottleneck will certainly loosen up a bit. But the end game content is currently an open raid zone, and it is what it is.
