Minion of Hate max lvl

The focus effect on this aug, Minion of Chaos is 45% (a nice upgrade from my keal boots) but the max level is 75. The keal boots focus says max level 80. The t8 pet is level 79. My question, does Minion of Hate aug not support t8 pets?

I think that is referring to the lvl of the spell cast. Similar to how some of the lower rank healing focus only effect healing spells up to lvl 68 or so. A lvl 70 healing spell will not gain the full boost of the focus.

I took a look at dark minion focus as well, which is a higher upgrade. It is similar but with lvl 70 max, which is max lvl for PCs on THF.

You'll notice they also have a min lvl too. So you can't summon an uber lvl 4 pet.

Basically I am saying in regards to a mage with a t8 pet, what is the point in buying a 1150 point LDON aug when keal boots are better?

Just need a small fix, raise the max level of Minion of Chaos to 80, so it hits the level 79 pet.

The max level on focus effects refer to the level of the spell not the level the pet summons at. The spell level for Elemental essence is 70, the level the player can scribe it at, so it is affected by the focus.

right. it is not talking about the lvl the of the pet, but rather the lvl of the spell you cast to summon the pet.

well i've done dps test. keal boots dominate the ldon aug. it is not affecting the t8 pet.

ok i dont have a mage to test that specific focus, but here is a test using my SK.

summon spell used is Decaying Minion - webtools/spell.php?id=9423
That is the SKs T8 pet. With NO pet focus equipped it summons a lvl 73 pet. This will be sufficient lvl for this test. As your claim is the focus in question has a max lvl limit of 75, and hence is not effecting your t8 pet which is 79. (is it lvl 79 when summoned with no focus at all?

Now I summon again but this time with True Minion focus equipped - webtools/spell.php?id=8512
If you look at the spell data for this focus it has the max lvl limit of 70.

The new pet I summoned with True Minion is now lvl 79 instead of only 73, and has much better stats as well.

you're right I do #mystats and the ldon aug is better in terms of hp/ac, however the keal boots STILL dominate in the dps test.

edit* after some more test it seems like keal boots / ldon aug are the same in dps.
