The Hidden Forest

I think it would be a nice incentive boost for some players (and easy to implement) if more rare drops made their way to the "Item Achievements" section. Band of the Gargoyle and Orb of the Crimson Bull are great, rare items that already made the list. A few others that I'd like to see are:

webtools/items.php?id=83657
For early and pre-raid progression folks:
webtools/items.php?id=7867

and a couple other (but not all) rare boss drops in Tiers 7 and 8 seem like appropriate additions.

Lastly, I'd love to see a feature addition to be able to query which players have completed a certain achievement. I'd love to click on Band of the Leopard and see a list of players who have it.

I agree with Dark Moonstone Mind Scepter (83657), as it is a rare and highly sought-after item plus it's from the final boss of T7. They could also do Shard of Avilaine's Seal (121477) since it is also a rare and highly sought-after item and from the final boss of T8. Not sure about the horse clicky, not a very sought-after item as nobody really uses horses.

Other suggestions to add to his list:

1. Blade of War (25989) because it's a 10% drop off of Rallos Zek
2. Ring of Zeevil the Insane (121734): Is this one on there already?
3. Earring of Ordered Straw (17407): Another world boss 10% illusion drop, like Band of the Leopard which is already on there.
4. Pegasus Nostril (17599): Same reason as Earring of Ordered Straw.

I've also noticed there are no achievements from that AA dude in Qeynos Aqueducts.

Yeah that was my initial reservation about mentioning that one, but considering items like the Gold Explorer's Badge and the Runed Soriz Ring, I thought it a valid lowbie item. Honestly, it'd be great to see more rare drops in the lower tiers and even the 0-70 grind (maybe on the Headhunter mobs).

Black Ornate Chain Bridle is actually not very hard to get. Kill enough snakes and you'll see one.

If you're going to start adding them from T7+ then why not just have an achievement for every raid boss in every tier. At that point you'd start heading into the ridiculousness that is the wow achievement system. Seems unnecessary.

That is the idea, after all, with every rare drop. At a 2% rate, it is exceedingly rare compared to other drops.

Sure. So we need an achievement for grinding snakes in Ssra?

Obviously some people are going agree or disagree with the relevancy of the achievements the gm's decided to put on the list. Especially when it comes to the ones for getting certain items, but it doesn't seem necessary or worth the time to put in an achievement for every rare drop or every raid mob unless they want it to basically be a little mini game like wow's achievement system is.

I guess I just don't see the need personally to get a little virtual pat on the back just for spending x hours to get y items expanded to every single rare or semi-rare item in the game.

In a way it actually feels like it goes against what the server is about in terms of not wanting there to be drama and/or elitism. I think it would be more interesting if the achievements were calculated in game sort of like mystats and you couldn't see anyone else's.

It's essentially just e-peen which seems unneeded/unwanted.

That's my opinion anyways. Your mileage may vary.

I like the idea to get archievment points for rare drops.

But there is one point we shouldnt forget: every item needs a place in bags or bankslot.
I am already short on bankspace even with UF client.
So if more items are coming for achievement points please add them as "flag"-quest so we can destroy not needed items after looting.
