55sk Unholy Aura Recast 3780 sec?

Hit 55 (yay!) and decided to try my fancy new aura. Memmed into a gem slot, waited... waited... uh oh... checked the spdat in the clone and it says 3780 sec recast.

5 minute duration and recast once every 63 minutes for the aura. Is that intentional?

Is there a way to set it so it won't take 63 minutes from first being memmed to become active? Our should this be in the disc window and not a spell gem?

The Unholy Aura is a discipline. Use alt+c to pop up your disc window and make a shortcut for this disc. It's not a normal spell, if you are a class with spell gems then your disciplines come up in them as spells, the long initial loading is the side effect to this method of use and not preferred.

Thanks, Lillu. I had suspected this was the case but it is not coming up in the disc list. I have Fearless and Resistant but not this.

It shouldn't be in my spellbook at all as a disc, should it?

Try to reset your discs with Organ.

I went back to Organ and asked him to scribe again. Got the red text for 2 discs I already knew (which would account for resistant and fearless) but no effect on my 55 aura. It is still in my spellbook as a spell and not in my disc list. This is the one in question:

Not sure what to do about this. This looks to be a pretty handy disc if it effects lifetaps.

Looks like it's "flagged" as normal spell and not as discipline. It shouldn't be scribed on the first place. It should be a tome that you give to your GM.

I went old-school and ran to PoK and bought the tome there for a few plat and turned it in to Grave Lord Arel. He claimed he did not need it but took it anyway and gave me the disc. ("You have learned a new discipline!" ... "Grave Lord Arel says, 'I don't need this.'")

Anyway, that at least got the disc into my disc list and hotkey-able. Going to test it now.
