Possible Stack Issue: Mana Flare series & Chaotic Power

The Mana Flare series is a line of buffs that add the Mana Flare Strike proc to direct-damage instant-duration nukes - it cannot function off DoT ticks. Chaotic Power, from the Call For Blood spell's recourse effect, is a 100% increase in spell damage that only applies to DoTs with a duration of 24 seconds or longer - it cannot affect instant-duration nukes.

Currently, these two effects overwrite one another, despite the fact that they exclusively affect completely different spell types. Given that the Mana Flare series is primarily obtained from LDoNs, and is available to Necromancers, is it possible to make this stackable with Chaotic Power? As it stands, it is pointless for a Necromancer to purchase Mana Flare II or III from LDoNs - the Chaotic Power proc is far more important and useful to them.

Just as you learned last night that you can stack the same resist type dots, I have learned tonight that this spell exists! :lol:

It's handier than it looks, isn't it? On the surface, Call For Blood is just a substandard Poison nuke with a terrible resist mod.

Give it a little help with Scent of Midnight so it doesn't get resisted constantly, and land a few hits with it (preferably on trash or adds) to get the proc going. Suddenly you're going form 9k crit-ticks to 18-19k crit-ticks on your best DoTs for nearly a minute and a half with a little help from duration focii. It's currently the only thing allowing me to keep up, DPS-wise with wizards near my gear level.

Both Mana Flare and Chaotic Power are potent effects, but aside from that, there's no reason why they shouldn't coexist as they affect entirely different spells. Currently, you have to choose whether you want the bulk of damage coming from your substandard nukes (of which you get only one in T8, and it's a lifetap), or your excellent DoTs (of which there are a whopping three spell lines in T8.) While it's true Mana Flare also works with clicky-nukes, you need to consider that clicky-nukes are something any spellcaster can do (and indeed, any class that can equip the right items).

Relying on clickies and Mana Flare for your damage makes you a subpar wizard with no familiar and a pet.

I learned something new. Didnt even know about this but I had never checked out any of the direct damage line necromancers had.
